Lunch Break Reading, the Serial Podcast and Oxford #LittleLoves

This past month has been a whirlwind! Returning to work has been such a big (and welcome) change to our everyday routine and it’s been far easier than I thought for it to feel very normal. Pickle loves going to nursery, and it’s obvious how much he enjoys spending a day with his Grandpark (our nickname for his Grandad, my Dad) too. He recognises the road my parents live on, and when we pull into it, he always does his signature ‘Ooooh’ excited sound. Very cute.

Anyway, now that I’ve had a taste of ‘freedom’ away from Pickle, I’m determined to keep up with some better selfcare routines and allow myself a little bit of time each day to do something I love. Just for me. So what better way to help me focus on the things I love than writing a new, and much overdue, #LittleLoves post. read more

Pinterest, Pizza-Making and a Toddler Halloween Party #LittleLoves

It’s weird. Even though Pickle isn’t at school, I’m definitely feeling the hustle and bustle of it being half term this week – it’s been manic! Without our usual toddler classes and routine, we’ve filled our week with lots of lovely outings and social events but it’s left me feeling exhausted! I haven’t even had time to put our food back in our newly rehung kitchen cupboards after they fell off the other week. But, the bonus, is that I have LOTS of fun things to talk about and so many things that I’ve loved. Here’s this fortnight’s #LittleLoves.

  • Climbing up to Better Things

Paw Patrol, Tidy Lounges and Exciting Emails #LittleLoves

I hadn’t planned on writing this post, but I had a pang of guilt that I’d not written a #LittleLoves round up for ages whilst making myself a cuppa this morning and figured if I really put my mind to it, I could get it written in super quick speed. I’ve let Pickle entertain himself in front of Paw Patrol, practicing putting on his own wellies (his latest trick). I’m really enjoying the fact he doesn’t need such close supervision anymore – maybe that’s why it’s a bit easier to keep the place tidy now?

  • Pickle at Talking Tots

NT Live, Talking Tots and another Emily & Fin dress #LittleLoves

Wow, I’ve not done one of these for a REALLY long time, so this #LittleLoves post covers pretty much a whole month! It’s been a pretty hectic and busy month and in all honesty, it’s been a bit of an emotional one, so it’s good to take the time to focus on the things that have been good, uplifting and sparked joy. Which is, of course, one of the best reasons why I love taking the time to write these posts. They’re good for the soul.

Maui, a Monkey Mug Tree and a Top from Tesco #LittleLoves

I was so hoping I’d have this post ready to go for this morning but… by the time I’d got in last night and got Pickle to bed (because LPD hadn’t managed that, even though it was pretty late!), I didn’t have that long before bed was calling. Nevertheless, here I am, sharing the things we’ve loved this past fortnight. It’s quite a mixed bag! #LittleLoves
