Newborn Photography with Kelly Louise Photography

If you’ve not considered a newborn photography session for your little one, I urge you to think about it! We weren’t that bothered about it whilst I was pregnant, and we actively avoided the Bounty session in hospital as we didn’t want to get suckered into spending a small fortune. However, I found myself desperately googling local newborn photographers a few weeks later, determined to capture the beauty of our little one

I came across Kelly Louise Photography, who was offering a FAB deal for newborn sessions. It was too good to refuse, and I sent her a message hoping she’d be able to fit us in. What I didn’t realise was that many newborn shoots get booked MONTHS in advance and availability goes really quickly.

Thankfully, she was able to squeeze us in and one Saturday morning we headed to her gorgeous studio in Hatton (serendipitous for me as we got married in Hatton, a lovely village outside of Warwick) with all our fingers crossed that Pickle would behave himself.

I’ll let the photos speak for themselves…

Kelly’s studio is packed FULL of gorgeous blankets, knitted hats, outfits, flower garlands… it’s a true treasure trove. A knitter’s paradise! And her calm and laid back vibe helped put us all at ease. I couldn’t be more pleased with our gorgeous photos and they’ll be adorning our mantelpiece for MANY years to come.

I did have to apologise for a spectactular poop explosion that covered Pickle, me, the gorgeous knitted outfit he was wearing and the floor… and a few little piddles too… but Kelly took all this in her stride! Note to all other parents: definitely take a change of clothes for yourself as well as your baby! Having a spare dress in the car was a lifesaver, otherwise I’d have gone to our Waterbabies class afterwards with an impressive poop smear all down my front.

If you’re in the West Midlands area, I strongly recommend you check out Kelly Louise Photography. You can find her on Facebook too. But don’t make the same mistake as me and leave it too late – get in there super quick! She’s already fully booked until the end of November.

Thank you, Kelly. You’ve captured our gorgeous boy perfectly.

Disclosure: Kelly Louise Photography kindly offered us an enhanced photoshoot package as I was going to cover the newborn shoot on Little Pickle’s Mom. All views are still my own and you can always expect full honesty from me.

Ahh they are gorgeous photos! Our newborn photo shoot was one of the best ideas we had. Our photographer then did a 9 month one and our wedding! I’ll have to take a look at Kelly Louise Photography as we want some more shots taken now Alfie can run around and we can be outside, plus she’s local to us too!

Ahh Amy, a family shoot sounds like a WONDERFUL idea! And with the weather starting to go that bit more Autumnal, there’s perfect puddle jumping opportunities which would make for lovely family shots! Can wholeheartedly recommend Kelly Louise – she was marvellous!

Those are lovely photos! A close friend gave us a photo shoot gift card when T was born so we had some photos done of her and us and it was lovely too 🙂

Love the colors used to highlight his eyes, and I think this was so successful. I love them! Thank you for sharing!
